I noticed my dog has a cloudy film around his eyes with a reddish tint as you can see in the picture. He doesn’t seem to be in any pain, but he definitely cannot see as well as he used to be able to.

Hi Ian,

From the photo of your dog, it appears that he might have inflammation of the cornea, or inflammation of the anterior chamber of his eye involving the iris, called ‘Uveitis’. I tend to lean more towards this second diagnosis. This can be very serious and is sometimes due to an autoimmune condition.

Please take him to a veterinary emergency clinic this weekend, and then to see a veterinary ophthalmologist as soon as you can.
