Brows Spot on Dog’s Eye with Discharge

My dog Chopper has had some discharge from both his eyes for a couple of weeks now but no redness or scratching, so I figured it was allergies. But the last couple of days his right eye has been a bit red.

We have been playing with the new puppy next door so I wasn’t sure if maybe he scratched his eye. I started looking closer then I normally look at his eye and found a brown spot on the outer rim of his eye. Not sure if its been there and I just haven’t noticed it or if its the cause of the redness and this discharge. But the other eye has just a little discharge.

I’m trying to decide if I should schedule an appointment for next week or call for a emergency now.
