My one year old American eskimo has developed an area on his mouth (snout) that has lost hair, is swollen, is very red and occasionally has white “acne looking” bumps where the whiskers or hair comes out of the skin. It has been there for almost two months now, maybe longer. It seems to be getting larger as you can see in the pictures.
The affected area on his cheek doesn’t seem to bother him as he does not scratch at it or lick it obsessively. We have tried benzoyl peroxide
a few times but doesn’t seem to help
His diet hasn’t changed at all. We recently moved into a house that previously had dogs but not sure what kind. We just know because
our dogs are always digging up bones in the backyard.
He is mainly an inside dog except for when we are at work, then they are out back.
