Watch Dr. Fallek on the CBS Early Show...

Dr. Marcie Fallek has been featured in several major local and national news outlets including The New York Times, The Saturday Early Show on CBS, The Connecticut Post, The Fairfield Citizen, The Whole Dog Journal and The Whole Cat Journal. She was featured in The Holistic Dog Book by Denise Flaim and Keep Your Pet Healthy the Natural Way by Pat Lazarus, was referenced in The Nature of Animal Healing: The Definitive Holistic Medicine Guide to Caring for your Dog and Cat by Martin Goldstein D.V.M., is a contributing author to the Amazon Best-Seller, Your Dog's Golden Years, and is the author of the upcoming book Krishna's Flute: The Spiritual Journey of a Holistic Veterinarian.

Dr. Fallek began her path toward holistic veterinary medicine by becoming a vegetarian at the age of 17 after questioning the healthfulness of processed and chemically altered food, which quickly led to her questioning of the safety and potential side effects of conventional medicine. Her undergraduate degree in Philosophy (Magna Cum Laude) then taught her to intelligently explore truths beyond conventional thinking.

Her lifelong love of animals led her to veterinary school where she was disturbed by the consistent teaching of how to dispense medications that impact symptoms rather than how to cure pets. Conventional veterinary medicine's limitations led her to begin referring patients to holistic veterinarians very early on. Upon witnessing the "miraculous" treatment of seemingly incurable conditions, she began her formal holistic education with a special focus on veterinary homeopathy and acupuncture. In addition to many formal education programs and certifications (see below), Dr. Fallek attends between eight and ten conferences each year to stay on top of the latest developments in all aspects of conventional and holistic medicine.
